PLUM CHATTER AT SHOP AND SAVE
- One day last tuesday I was standing at the check out line at Shop and Save.
I happened to hear a conversation between two gentlemen and I would like to
share their story.
They were both in there sixties. One said to the other, I go to the Plum Senior Center. The other one said, I don't. I'm not ready for that. The other person was so bewildered he said, I can understand that but if you were in charge of running the Center,>>>>>>>>>What would you offer to attract people like you?
There was a long pause. The answer was, !!!!!!!!!
If I was in charge !!!!!!!
I would have a place to play cards, exercise classes, line dancing, parties, income tax filled out at no charge, trips to the theatre, trips to go shopping, transportation to doctor appointments, transportation to down town and a comfortable surrounding to meet new friends.
The other person answered, let me get this straight; if you were in charge you would offer all these things????? To attract people like you ???
And the person said yes I would.!!!!!
Why would you have all of things???????
Well it would keep people happier, healthy and they would live longer.
So the man said, the center does
offer all of the activities you mention.
The other man replied, well !!!!! I'm not ready for that.!!!!!.
