VOLUNTEER JOB LISTINGS
Home Delivered Meals Driver - "Part time" - one day per week, one hour per day.
Dining Room Server - "Part time" - one day per week, two hours per day. Compensation: Smiles, gratitude
Receptionist - "Part time" - one day per week, three hours per day. Compensation: Opportunity to meet new people and to learn some basic computer skills.
Office Aide - "Part time" - one day per week, two hours per day. Compensation: Gratitude & satisfaction! Unlimited vacations.
Volunteering can offer the opportunity to have a rewarding, exciting, and challenging day. Nonprofit opportunities are as diverse as the sector itself. Here is a short list of possible choices:
Project Manager-
Short term for special events or on going activity
Financial Assistants-
Provides accounting and finical advice as needed to Center
Human Resource Assistant -
Helps in finding and selecting new people for center services.
Instructors -
Sharing your knowledge of a special skill with a workshop or discussion group
Music Professional-
Sharing your love of music through groups or individual participation, assist with the talent show, start a choir, having a sing along.
Concession Manager/Operator -
Coordinate or work at community events in the Center booth
Public Relations -
Promote The Center to the community through the media, write an article, take pictures or speak to other community groups.
Researcher -
Guide The Center in long range goals with feasibility studies
Board Committee Member -
Lend your professional guidance to individual board Concerns, {Legal, HR, Financial}
Marketing and Fundraising -
Help to promote the Center within the community and assist in fundraising events.
Volunteer Coordinator
Duties Oversee the use of skilled volunteers at the Center. Tasks would include:
Developing position duties and skill requirements
Help in recruitment, placement, training and evaluation of volunteers
Scheduling of volunteers
Working with volunteer placement agencies
Skills Required Ability to communicate with and manage the skilled volunteers. Set objectives and maintain target schedules
Time Commitment 3-5 hours per week
Grant Consultant
Duties Provide support and consultation for Center staff and volunteers in choosing grant objectives and developing grant proposals
Skills Required Experience in grant writing. Knowledge of the grantor community and the characteristics of grant proposals which have the best chances for funding
Time Commitment 3-6 hours per
